What this site is not

Everything published in the library is general information about Swedish law. It is not legal advice and does not create a client relationship. Law changes, and facts differ. A page that is correct in general may be wrong for your situation.

Each page carries two dates: when it was published and when it was last checked. Where the second date is more than twelve months old for a procedural page, or six months for a regulatory one, treat the content as requiring verification.

We are not an advokatbyrå

Lodline is a Swedish law firm but not an advokatbyrå, and no one here holds the protected title advokat. In Sweden legal advice is not a reserved activity — only the title is protected. The practical consequence, including the absence of advokatsekretess, is set out on the compliance page.

Reports

The factual reports offered on this site contain no legal assessment and no opinion on creditworthiness, ability to pay or probability of payment. They state what is recorded, in which register, as at which date, and explicitly what could not be established.

Enquiries

Sending an enquiry through a form does not create a client relationship and does not oblige us to act. A relationship begins only when an engagement letter is signed by both sides. Until then, do not send material you would not want held outside a confidentiality undertaking.

Intellectual property

Texts, structure and design belong to Lodline AB. Quotation with attribution and a link is permitted. Systematic copying of the library is not.

Liability

We take responsibility for work carried out under an engagement letter, on the terms of that letter. We accept no liability for decisions taken on the basis of freely published material.

Governing law

Swedish law. Disputes are heard by Stockholms tingsrätt as first instance, unless the engagement letter provides otherwise.
